Helen Barraclough is the firm’s chief operating officer. She is responsible for its finance, people, technology, premises and records in both offices, and is the firm’s data protection lead.

She qualified as a chartered accountant and spent fourteen years in finance and operations at two law firms, the second as director of operations, before joining Halden Rook in 2019.

In February 2025, after one of the firm’s message houses was published by a trade newsletter, she led the firm’s review of how it holds and shares client material. The review’s twenty-one recommendations included the client extranet, which the firm introduced in April 2025, and she reported on all of them a year later in the Journal.

She is a governor of a primary school in north London.
